Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bar and restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive hospitality knowledge, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, managing food and beverage service, ensuring food safety standards, and creating a welcoming environment for guests. The successful applicant will play a key role in maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency within our establishment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of bar staff, ensuring smooth service delivery
- Oversee food preparation, including basic cooking and food production tasks, to support bar operations
- Manage inventory levels of beverages, ingredients, and supplies; place orders as necessary
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
- Develop and implement staff schedules, training programmes, and performance evaluations
- Assist in menu planning by collaborating with chefs on food offerings and drink selections
- Handle customer enquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximise revenue
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere that promotes hospitality and excellent service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising or managing a bar or restaurant environment
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety protocols
- Experience in food service roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Sound understanding of hospitality principles, including customer service excellence and team management
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant experience are desirable
- Ability to oversee food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations
- Good communication skills with a professional approach to leadership and guest interaction
Pay: £2,100.00-£2,300.00 per month
