The Opportunity
We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Data Technician Apprentice to join a busy and supportive business support team. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and spreadsheets, and who wants to build a strong foundation for a long‑term career in data, administration, or business operations.
You’ll play a key role behind the scenes, ensuring data is accurate, organised, and accessible, while supporting day‑to‑day business activity. Alongside hands‑on experience, you’ll work towards a recognised Level 3 Data Technician qualification.
The Role
As a Data Technician Apprentice, you’ll support the business by collecting, maintaining, analysing, and reporting data used across multiple teams. You’ll also assist with essential administrative and front‑of‑house tasks that rely on accurate information handling.
This is a varied role suited to someone who is detail‑focused, organised, and keen to learn how data supports business decision‑making.
Key Responsibilities
- Inputting, updating, and maintaining data across internal systems
- Creating and managing spreadsheets to track candidate numbers and business activity
- Analysing data such as candidate volumes by location and preparing reports for management
- Collecting, checking, and following up on candidate documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Uploading candidate information to online client portals and keeping records up to date
- Supporting PPE stock room data management, including stock counts and order preparation
- Printing, scanning, and organising documents to support consultants and teams
- Handling incoming calls, logging enquiries, and passing information to the appropriate departments
- Greeting visitors, maintaining reception records, and completing daily setup checks
- Preparing application packs and managing data materials
- Creating and tracking merchandise packs for consultants
- Supporting the Branch Manager with ad‑hoc data and administrative tasks
- Identifying opportunities to improve data organisation, reporting processes, or systems
What You’ll Learn
Throughout the apprenticeship, you’ll gain practical skills in:

About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator with a professional phone manner
- Comfortable using Excel and spreadsheets
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Proactive, reliable, and eager to learn new systems and processes
- In possession of a full driving licence with access to their own vehicle
- Interested in pursuing a career in data, administration, or business operations
Training & Development
You’ll complete a Level 3 Data Technician Apprenticeship, combining real on‑the‑job experience with structured off‑the‑job training delivered by an approved training provider. Ongoing support will be provided to help you build confidence, skills, and long‑term career prospects.

Pay: £8.00 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
