Job Opportunity: Skilled Fabricator / Welder (MIG/TIG) – Marine Industry
Location: Cooney South, Poole, Holton Heath (just off Bakers arms roundabout)
Cooney South specializes in the design and manufacture of high-end, bespoke stainless steel and aluminium fabrications for the superyacht sector. We are currently seeking a skilled Fabricator / Welder experienced in MIG and TIG welding, specifically in Aluminium with some Stainless Steel too.
The Role:
As a Fabricator / Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling components from detailed drawings, ensuring the highest quality standards throughout. You will work on premium marine-grade materials, delivering results in line with industry requirements. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their craftsmanship and has a passion for producing top-tier products.
Key Responsibilities:
- MIG/TIG welding prodominatly in aluminium components but to include TIG in stainless steel too.
- Fabricate from technical drawings, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to industry standards.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Working efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ensuring stringent quality control at every stage of the fabrication process.
- Meeting or exceeding efficiency targets, with the potential to earn additional bonuses.
The Ideal Candidate:
- At least 2 years of experience in MIG and TIG welding, preferably within the marine industry.
- A positive, can-do attitude, with strong motivation, enthusiasm, and a results-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills essential with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- A strong work ethic with a passion for delivering quality craftsmanship.
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Overtime available during busy periods, paid at an enhanced rate.
What We Offer:
- Efficiency Bonus: £16.50 + p/h can be achieved.
