Duties
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Assist in food preparation, adhering to food safety standards to ensure quality and hygiene.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain basic maths skills for accurate billing.
- Upsell menu items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
- Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, kitchen, and dining space in accordance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and communication.
- Provide help to customers with any inquiries or special requests regarding menu items.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential.
- Strong culinary skills with an understanding of food safety practices.
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- A friendly demeanour with the ability to engage positively with customers.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
