Novera Partners are instructed on a discreet, off-market instruction for one of the fastest-growing disputes teams in London over the past five years, joining a full-service City law firm offering a positive work/life balance and excellent remuneration package.
The Firm:
Our client, a leading City law firm, has experienced a period of substantial growth in their Litigation & Arbitration practice over recent years, making several key hires from leading US and Silver Circle law firms, significantly bolstering their practice. The firm offers something different to many of their larger competitors, providing a clear and consistent work/life balance alongside a transparent path for career progression to partnership, and an impressive non-discretionary bonus structure in excess of 30%.
The Litigation & Arbitration group work across a wide range of disputes, including fraud, insolvency, shareholder and partnership disputes, energy, media, sports, arbitration and group claims, acting for a range of household name clients from global publishing companies to leading international consumer brands.
The Role:
The role will suit an Associate or Senior Associate looking to join a firm where they can see a clear and structured path for career progression. The role will encompass a mix of commercial litigation and arbitration (75%) and contentious insolvency (25%). There is a consistent international dimension to many of the firm's disputes, and genuine variety in the work, ranging from high-profile blockchain disputes through to advising Premier League clubs in insolvency-related litigation.
The role will ideally suit someone looking to make their last career move before potentially applying for partnership, with the firm supportive and encouraging of candidates who are looking to make the next step up.
About You:
You will be an England & Wales qualified solicitor with at least five-years' post-qualification experience from a leading London law firm. Whilst this role is not an insolvency disputes position, our client is looking to see examples of two or three insolvency disputes alongside a broader practice, mindful that insolvency will form a smaller part of the practice.
Our client has an excellent retention rate and a tangible career path at all levels, with a dedicated partnership track scheme for individuals looking to progress to partnership.
