An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who is interested in joining the radiology service based in the radiology department at Bronglais Hospital.
You will be on hand to support the patients in the care of the radiographers whilst they undergo various imaging procedures. Coordinating both in and outpatient requests for interventional radiology procedures and controlling the stock /rotation of clinical consumables and medication used within the department. Therefore great communication and organisational skills are essential.
The successful applicant will be supported whilst gaining experience in the care of the patient undergoing a range of radiology interventional procedures. Experience of scrub nurse duties for sterile procedures and cardiac monitoring will be an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
You will be part of a multidisciplinary team of nurses, radiographers, Radiology clinical support workers and Consultant Radiologists. Although each discipline has their own special role, we all work closely together to ensure a high standard of care is delivered safely to our patients.
Working hours are spread across 5 days a week to ensure workload is covered, and this also means that they are conducive to a happy work life balance.
Training as a scrub nurse and/or circulatory assistant during procedures
Monitoring and ensuring safe discharge of the patient, post procedure.
Ordering and monitoring stock levels of radiology consumables.
Flexible working to ensure workload is covered.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
