Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable & dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our professional cleaning team in Thame, Oxford.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness across school premises. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with prior Cleaning experience in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and reliability are essential.
The successful applicant will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS Check
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including but not limited to, sanitising & cleaning washrooms & toilets, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in classrooms, offices & communal areas to meet health & safety standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Use specialised cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards identified during cleaning routines
- Ensure all areas are cleaned to the highest standard within designated timeframes
Requirements
- At least 1 years previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely and responsibly
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs
Schedule
- Part Time Permanent role
- Monday - Friday 15:30pm-18:30pm
- 15 Hours per week
- 39 Weeks per Year (Term Time Only)
