To assist the Commercial Team with the collation, reconciliation and reporting of project data and provide cost and budget advise to Project Management Team for the Overhead Catenary System on the High Speed 2 Project.
Professional experience in finance and commercial functions within the engineering and construction industry, including experience working for contractors on infrastructure projects.

Qualifications:

Preferably degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the construction sector with a proven track record in major projects.

Working closely with the SQS/QS you will assist with the cost control of the Project, focussing on labour / plant / materials through tracking of orders and regular reconciliation of costs with budget.

Responsible for the accurate and timely cost collation, reconciliation and reporting of data from site records – time and allocation sheets, GRN’s.

Liaising with Construction Managers / Supervisors for the completion of these site records.

Support the verification of subcontractor applications, including checking labour hours and associated costs
-
Collation, organisation and reconciliation of spreadsheet data and data from finance / cost / site record systems.

Support the Project Commercial team as necessary in the preparation of cost reports.
-
Assist in the preparation of periodic cost reports, highlighting variances, trends, and key commercial risks or opportunities.

Provide general commercial and administrative support to the Project Commercial Team as required.

Assist in the administration of the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC), ensuring compliance with contractual processes and timescales.

Support the preparation, submission, and assessment of Compensation Events, including maintaining accurate records and assisting with cost build-ups.

As you will expect the organisation may change from time to time and you will be expected to meet the operational requirements.

Any other reasonable duties as required from time to time.
