Q-Park is a European parking organisation that provides customers with a positive experience and excellent levels of customer service through its high quality car parking facilities.
We’re looking for a new member of staff to join our friendly team based at Gatwick Airport site working on a casual basis.
This role services passengers travelling to and from Gatwick Airport and can therefore be very fast paced. Flexibility is key in this role as our business needs can sometimes change rapidly.
Purpose of the Role
Ensure customer satisfaction and maintain a safe, efficient and comfortable journey throughout the network of bus services.
Activities Responsible for & Key Tasks
- Ensuring satisfied customers through polite, hospitable and cooperative interaction.
- Checking the condition of the vehicle prior to commencing service and reporting any defect or damage to the Team Leader/Supervisor.
- Acknowledging all customers that board the bus, assist with luggage, establish terminal required and ask customers for relevant paperwork.
- Obeying speed limits both in the Q-Park site and airport terminals.
- Obeying the Highway Code and Health and Safety procedures and regulations at all times.
- Constantly providing and ensuring a clean and safe environment for customers and colleagues by operating all cleaning procedures to quality standards.
- Refuelling the Bus according to fuel handling procedures.
- Conducting visible, regular patrols to maintain a clean, safe and healthy operating environment.
- Completing all administrative tasks associated with your role accurately and on time.
- Undertake any other tasks as appropriate to meet operational contingencies.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
- Category D on Drivers Licence.
- PCV Licence
- CPC Driver Qualification Card
- Previous experience of working in a bus driving role within a customer service environment.
- Have a flexible attitude to work.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Conversant with Microsoft office applications including Word and Excel.
As driving is a substantial part of this role we will carry out comprehensive drivers checks and ensure these meet our insurance provider’s requirements. To be considered for the role applicants must;
- Be aged 21 or over
- Have a full UK Driver’s License with no more than 3 penalty points
- Not have any motoring convictions resulting in disqualification within the last 5 years
Please note this role is subject to satisfactory references and a basic DBS check.
