Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nursery Nurse to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves supporting children's development, implementing educational activities, and working closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of childcare. Previous nursery experience and a passion for working with children are essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and nap times to ensure their safety and well-being
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care and attention
- Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns
- Assist in the management of daily routines and behaviour management strategies
- Collaborate with team members to develop programmes that enhance early childhood education standards
- Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily activities and team coordination
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and early childhood education principles
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and nurturing qualities when engaging with young children
- Organised with good time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
