Experienced Children's Support Worker – Flexible Agency Work

Regent Care Recruitment is seeking passionate, reliable, and dedicated Children's Support Workers to join our growing team, supporting children and young people across Manchester and surrounding areas.
We provide experienced staff to a range of children's residential homes, supported accommodation, and specialist services. We're looking for individuals with a strong background in supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Learning Disabilities (LD), Mental Health (MH) needs, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), trauma, and complex needs.
Your Role
As an Agency Children's Support Worker with Regent Care Recruitment, you will:
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care and support to children and young people.
- Build positive, trusting relationships that promote safety, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
- Support young people with daily living skills, education, social activities, and independence.
- Provide emotional support using trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches.
- Manage behaviours of concern confidently and professionally, following individual care plans and positive behaviour support strategies.
- Provide personal care where required while maintaining dignity, respect, and safeguarding standards.
- Maintain accurate daily records, incident reports, and safeguarding documentation.
- Work closely with residential staff, social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure the best outcomes for each young person.
- Promote safeguarding, equality, inclusion, and the rights of every child.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 2 years' experience supporting children and young people in residential care or specialist children's services (essential).
- Experience supporting children with ASC, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health needs, trauma, attachment difficulties, or Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and professional boundaries.
- Confidence managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate, resilient, and committed to delivering outstanding person-centred care.
