Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of food preparation and production in the kitchen.
- Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and culinary trends.
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene practices.
- Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimising waste to optimise kitchen efficiency.
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Train new kitchen employees on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
- Assist in the development of special events or catering menus as required.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the culinary field.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary arts, and kitchen management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
