Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Years Deputy Manager to join our childcare team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management of our nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education for young children. Duties
- Assist the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operation of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Supervise and mentor staff members, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on quality care.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and carers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the organisation of staff rotas, training sessions, and administrative tasks related to nursery operations.
- Support the implementation of early childhood education programmes that meet national standards.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records for children, staff, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management and leadership skills, with previous supervisory or deputy management experience preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst demonstrating initiative.
- Childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Children's Care or equivalent are essential.

Pay: £13.00-£13.70 per hour
