We're recruiting for a driven Business Development Manager to support growth across Scotland for a well-established surveying business. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 2-3 years of business development experience within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) sector who is looking to build on their success.
You'll play a key role in identifying new opportunities, developing strong client relationships, and securing new business across sectors including construction, infrastructure, utilities, and property development.

Develop and deliver a business development strategy across Scotland

Identify and win new business opportunities within AEC markets

Build strong relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and consultants

Use existing industry contacts to generate leads and expand the client base

Attend networking events, industry functions, and client meetings

Work closely with internal teams to ensure successful project delivery

Prepare and present proposals, tenders, and presentations

Manage and maintain an accurate sales pipeline using CRM systems

Keep up to date with market trends and competitor activity

2-3 years' experience in business development or a similar commercial role

Background in AEC, construction, engineering, or surveying preferred

Strong network across Scotland's construction/engineering sectors

Proven ability to win new business and hit targets

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Self-motivated and able to manage your own territory

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

Knowledge of surveying or geospatial services

Experience working with public and private sector clients

Understanding of Scottish procurement frameworks
