Main Purpose and scope of role
Just ONE are seeking a Children’s and Young Persons Coordinator to work across Wales, candidates must hold a valid UK Driving License and have access to their own vehicle. This role will involve travel around Wales and South Wales.
The role of Coordinator will support Just ONE staff to deliver semi-independent living support to vulnerable young people aged 16-25 by providing emotional & mental encouragement and support to young people to live more independently and transition into adulthood..
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised person to oversee the smooth delivery of care packages and staff management within our service. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing staff rotas using our One Touch system, signing up new packages, completing all relevant documentation, and liaising with social workers, clients, and invoicing teams to ensure seamless coordination.
Key duties include managing the overall care package, attending reviews, conducting employee supervisions and probation reviews, and completing HR-related paperwork as needed. The role also involves reviewing daily notes on One Touch, collating incident reports, and maintaining up-to-date training records by liaising with the training coordinator, booking staff onto courses, and reviewing driving documentation.
The young people we support can be hard to engage with and can display behaviours that could be viewed as challenging. However, you will find the role to be rewarding as you help to support young people to help turn their life around.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce employee rota’s on the One Touch system
- Sign up and maintain packages, updating when necessary.
- Complete documentation for regulation
- Liaise with social worker and keep social updated
- Meet with client when appropriate
- Liaise with invoicing to ensure prompt payments
- Attend reviews with social worker and client
- Conduct regular employee supervisions
- Conduct employee end of year reviews
- Conduct probation reviews
- Complete HR related paperwork where necessary and liaise with Head of People on any concerns
- Collate incident reports promptly and efficiently
- Review daily notes on One Touch monitoring input and quality
- Liaise with HR on eLearning for employees and any further learning
- Update employee training on the One Touch system
- Review employees documentation for driving
- Authorise employee holidays
- Manage and inform employees of DBS renewals
- On call responsibilities
- Lead and discuss with your line manager self-development
- Produce annual reviews of care plans and risk assessments demonstrating consistency to details of the care plans
- Attend weekly department meetings
- Produce risk assessments ensuring they cover the risk and any outcomes are followed up
Skills and Qualifications:
- 2 years experience working with young people
- Ability to prioritise actions to achieve goals set
- Dynamic attitude to work and ideas
- Appropriate qualifications relating to children and young people (or willing to work towards)
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to travel
Pay: £32,500.00 per year
