Our Drivers are at the heart of our business delivering against our promise to protect what matters in a practical way, by being involved with the safe and timely collection, movement and unloading of healthcare waste from a variety of different customers on a designated route. Being a skilled and safety conscious driver you’ll be the key point of customer contact and will play a critical role in delivering service excellence to our clients.
As part of a busy transport team you’ll be responsible for the safe and timely collection, movement and unloading of healthcare waste, dealing primarily with smaller, independent customers, including GP surgeries, dentists and pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities:
- You’ll be working a designated route, Mon – Fri, 45hrs per week (Including B/Holidays)
- You’ll be working independently, to facility the collection and movement of large bagged waste from various customer locations.
- You’ll follow, promote and communicate the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation and Company's procedures.
- You’ll act as a key point of contact with our customers, completing all associated paperwork and relevant documentation via a hand-held terminal.
To Succeed in this role:
- Having excellent customer service skills and a flexible approach will be essential.
- You’ll have relevant driving/collections experience and a full clean driving licence – Minimum 7.5 Tonne, along with a Full Driver CPC Card, preferably linked to an ADR certificate - packages 6.1/ 6.2
- You’ll hold a valid digital tachograph card and the ability to complete documentation in relation to Drivers Hours and WTD
- You’ll demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
- You’ll have the ability to undertake heavy lifting and physically demanding work, involving the safe lifting and movement of bagged waste.
- You may also have previous experience working in a similar multi-drop service driving role.
- ADR required; however, training will be provided for successful candidate.
