Job Overview
We are seeking a professional 7.5 tonne delivery driver to join our logistics team. Duties
- Safely operate a 7.5 tonne lorry to deliver goods across designated routes
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and meet delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
- Communicate with the dispatch team regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes
- Adhere strictly to all road safety laws and company policies throughout all driving activities
Experience
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably with 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar size lorries
- Strong driving skills with a clean driving licence, ideally with commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with local roads and navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries
- Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deliveries within tight schedules
