We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
- Support chefs in cooking processes, including chopping, mixing, and cooking various dishes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Help with the serving of meals during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery to customers.
- Participate in catering events as required, contributing to menu planning and execution.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly after use.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in catering or restaurants, is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A passion for cooking and meal preparation, with a willingness to learn new culinary techniques.
- Experience with food preparation methods and equipment is an advantage.
