Our beautiful nursery has undergone a fantastic transformation, and we are relaunching very soon as Priory Oaks Day Nursery. Our staff have carefully and lovingly created an environment for children to thrive in.
As part of the relaunch, we are looking to appoint a nursery cook to prepare and provide nutritious, balanced meals and snacks for young children in the nursery aged 0-4.
You will be responsible for:
· Preparing and cooking healthy, balanced meals for nursery children
· Catering for a range of allergies and dietary requirements
· Planning simple, child-friendly menus (with support if needed)
· Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen
· Managing food stock, storage, and basic ordering
· Ensuring all meals are prepared and served on time
What We’re Looking For:
· Confidence in catering for allergies and dietary needs
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· A warm, positive attitude and team spirit
Whilst experience in a commercial kitchen, like a school, nursery, or care home is desirable, this role is perfect for someone who is passionate about great food and considers themselves a fantastic home cook, looking for the opportunity to feed a bunch of extra hungry tummies each day.
Normal hours of work will be between the hours of 10.00 am to 1.00 pm.
Pay: £9,003.79 per year
