HGV Mechanic - Evesham
Pay Rate: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our growing maintenance team on a temporary-permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, roadworthy, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated HGV Mechanic / Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our growing maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, servicing, maintenance, and repair of a fleet of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they remain safe, roadworthy, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and trailers.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
- Perform MOT preparation and ensure vehicles meet legal compliance standards.
- Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance schedules.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns and emergency repairs when required.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with drivers, transport managers, and other workshop staff.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
- Relevant qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Level 2/3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of DVSA standards and vehicle compliance requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence desirable but not essential).
- Good communication and organisational skills
