Overview
Roy's Kitchen is an exciting, family-run restaurant bringing authentic Mauritian cuisine and warm hospitality to Ewell. As we prepare to open our brand-new restaurant, we're looking for experienced and enthusiastic Front of House Team Members to join our opening team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a new restaurant from day one, helping us deliver exceptional food, genuine hospitality, and memorable dining experiences for every guest.
We're seeking individuals with at least 2 years' experience in a busy restaurant environment who are passionate about customer service, work well under pressure, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat guests with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using the restaurant's ordering system.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining excellent presentation standards.
- Build rapport with guests and confidently recommend menu items and daily specials.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest queries professionally.
- Process cash and card payments accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, service stations, and front-of-house areas.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety, and licensing procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties as required.
- Help create a positive and welcoming atmosphere that reflects Roy's Kitchen's values.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience working in a restaurant front-of-house role is preferred.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during busy service periods.
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to support the wider team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Confidence handling customer payments and operating a till or EPOS system.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
- Right to work in the UK.
