About the Role
We are seeking a confident and motivated Technical Sales Administrator to join our growing team in Elstree. Reporting directly to the Marketing Director, you will play a key role in supporting business growth through lead generation, customer engagement, database management, and sales support activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and working closely with a successful sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain regular contact with existing and lapsed customers to ensure we remain their first choice for future requirements.
- Manage ongoing communication with prospects via telephone and email.
- Cleanse and maintain the prospect database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
- Successfully engage with gatekeepers and identify key decision-makers within target organisations.
- Provide relevant product information to prospective customers.
- Generate and qualify leads before passing them to the sales team for follow-up.
- Conduct timely follow-up calls and emails to assess customer interest.
- Continuously improve and refine lead qualification processes.
- Work collaboratively with the sales team to maximise business opportunities.
- Record opportunities, quotations, and customer communications within SAP Business One.
- Promote new product launches and raise customer awareness through proactive outreach.
About You
The ideal candidate will be:
- A self-starter with a positive and proactive attitude.
- Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Resilient, with the ability to handle rejection professionally and remain motivated.
- Skilled at building rapport with both gatekeepers and decision-makers.
- Confident and comfortable communicating by phone and email.
- Experienced in objection handling and following through on commitments.
- Accurate when capturing and managing customer data.
- A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook.
- Experienced in using business systems; SAP Business One experience would be advantageous.
- Located within approximately one hour's commute of our Elstree office.
