Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and friendly Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy hospitality environment. Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Prepare and replenish bar stock, ensuring all items are well organised and available
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including washing glasses and cleaning surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to licensing laws
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with patrons and addressing their needs
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times
- Assist in setting up events or functions as required
- Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods, demonstrating good time management skills
Requirements
- Previous experience in pub or bar environments is essential; additional training will be provided
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Ability to perform basic maths accurately for handling transactions
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy shifts
- A positive attitude, professionalism, and a team-oriented approach
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed; availability during peak hours is essential
