Job Title: Heavy Plant Fitter
Salary: £50,000.00 - £75,000.00 + OT + Van & FC
Location: West Midlands/East Midlands/South West
Shift: Mon-Fri Days (8.00am-4.30pm)

We are a family-run business that has grown from strength to strength into a successful and sustainable provider within the construction and engineering industry. As we continue to expand, we are looking for an experienced Plant Engineer to join our growing team.
This is a varied role, splitting your time between our headquarters and mobile work nationwide, delivering first-class service and technical expertise across a wide range of heavy and light plant equipment, including our extensive soil stabilisation fleet.
Plant Fitter - The Role
You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of construction and Heavy Plant machinery, both in the workshop and on customer sites.
Plant Fitter - Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and servicing of all makes of construction and agricultural machinery
- Fault finding and diagnostics across a varied fleet of equipment
- Component repair and replacement
- Completing machine overhauls
- Conducting inspections and routine maintenance on Heavy plant machinery
- Communicating parts usage accurately to the Parts Department for invoicing
- Completing timesheets accurately and on time, ensuring customer sign-off where required
- Adhering to all company and site Health & Safety regulations
- Wearing PPE correctly at all times
Plant Fitter - Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Proven experience in plant machinery repair and maintenance
- Relevant qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2 in Plant Maintenance or Land-Based Engineering)
- Experience using diagnostic software
- Confident using tablets and computer-based systems
Desirable:
- Welding and fabrication skills
