The Role
As a Functional Assessor, you will conduct assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life.
Using your clinical knowledge and assessment skills, you will:
- Conduct telephone, video, and face-to-face assessments.
- Review medical evidence and supporting documentation.
- Assess the impact of physical and mental health conditions on an individual's functional abilities.
- Produce accurate, evidence-based reports for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
- Support fair and informed decision-making regarding benefit entitlement.

What We're Looking For Essential Requirements
- NMC Registered Adult Nurse or Mental Health Nurse
- Minimum of 1 year's broad post-registration clinical experience within the UK
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Comfortable using computer systems and producing detailed written reports
- Ability to assess and manage a diverse range of health conditions
- Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to learn and develop
