Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Junior Sous Chefs to join our dynamic culinary team. Duties
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, following established recipes and standards
- Supervise junior team members and coordinate tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Oversee food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen area
- Manage food production schedules to meet service demands efficiently
- Support in menu planning and ingredient sourcing as required
- Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented attractively
- Contribute to maintaining a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership
- Assist with serving customers when necessary, ensuring excellent hospitality standards are upheld
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, or kitchen roles within a hospitality or restaurant setting
- Supervising experience or team management skills are highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Previous experience in food preparation, culinary arts, or hospitality is preferred
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with an emphasis on fostering a positive work environment
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, food service, and customer service standards is advantageous
