Are you an experienced Children’s Home Manager looking for the chance to shape a service during an exciting period of growth and transformation? This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a 3‑bed children’s residential home supporting young people aged 8–17 with Learning Disabilities, Complex Needs and/or low‑level Emotional &
Behavioural Difficulties.
You’ll join an organisation undergoing a positive rebrand and expansion, giving you the autonomy to influence culture, practice and service development from day one.
About the Role
As the Registered Homes Manager, you will take full responsibility for the leadership, management and regulatory compliance of the home. You’ll create a safe, nurturing and child‑centred environment where young people can thrive, while leading and developing a high‑performing staff team.
This is an ideal role for a confident, forward‑thinking leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day‑to‑day running of a 3‑bed children’s home
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations, safeguarding standards and organisational policies
- Create a therapeutic, nurturing and outcomes‑focused environment
- Recruit, develop and inspire a high‑performing staff team
- Oversee rotas, budgets, staffing levels and overall service performance
- Drive continuous improvement and embed a positive, child‑centred culture
- Build strong relationships with families, social workers, education providers and external professionals
- Ensure high‑quality care planning, risk assessments and behaviour support strategies
- Lead on audits, quality assurance and regulatory inspections
About You
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (Children & Young People) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in residential childcare
- Strong background in Learning Disabilities and/or EBD settings
- Excellent knowledge of safeguarding, legislation and regulatory frameworks
- Confident leader with the ability to motivate, develop and support staff
- Passionate about achieving the best outcomes for children
- Full UK driving licence
