Air Source Heat Pump Electrician

The Role
We are looking for an experienced Electrician to join a growing renewable energy team, carrying out electrical work associated with Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installations across Reading, Berkshire and surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business at the forefront of the UK’s transition to low-carbon heating, working alongside heating engineers and installation teams to deliver high-quality renewable energy installations.
Responsibilities
- Complete all electrical works associated with Air Source Heat Pump installations.
- Install and upgrade consumer units where required.
- Carry out electrical testing, inspection and certification.
- Install isolators, cabling, controls and associated electrical components.
- Complete commissioning checks and support system handovers.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
- Ensure all work complies with current regulations and company standards.
- Complete all required certification and compliance paperwork.
- Work closely with installation teams and site supervisors to deliver projects efficiently and safely.
RequirementsEssential
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- AM2 Qualification.
- ECS Gold Card.
- Experience carrying out domestic electrical installations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong understanding of electrical testing and fault finding.
Desirable
- 2391 Inspection & Testing.
- Previous Air Source Heat Pump experience.
- Solar PV and Battery Storage experience.
- Experience working within ECO4, GBIS or retrofit programmes.

You will be a qualified electrician with strong domestic installation experience who is looking to build a long-term career within the renewable energy sector. Previous ASHP experience would be advantageous, but electricians from domestic, social housing, EICR, rewire or solar backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
