Byfield Lofts, Insulation & Damp are a Specialist Insulation and damp solutions company that focus on high performance and / difficult solutions to problems in the houses of our private clients. We do not operate in the social housing or commercial sectors.
Because of expansion we now require a senior installer with a range of construction experience.
Though there will be guidance I would expect you to be able to competently manage the projects on your own / with additional labour within a short period of time.
Typically a project requires:
General Carpentry experience including the ability to cut accurate mitres for skirtings and architrave etc…
Stripping out of lathe & plaster / or plasterboard.
Accurately cut and fit insulation backed plasterboard to various surfaces so that the plasterer can come in and finish.
Ability and willingness to do some groundwork, specifically trenches for the installation of french drains. Re fitting of stormwater drains / Various other small groundworks.
Sometimes we remove concrete floors, re insulate them and lay them back. Sometimes we also remove timber floors which are rotten, and then put them back.
Basic plumbing and electrical knowledge would be a bonus.
You will be trained to install MVHR systems, and since these are going into houses that the customer is living in, we try to minimise disruption.
We work in a private client environment where you will be treated well and you will be expected to get into work with a smile on your face, maintain a cheerful and positive nature, be personable and able to relate to the client and understand and react to their concerns, or requirements.
The final package is negotiable because for instance you may well have your own van etc.. but in the region of £200 a day plus project related bonuses.
