Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our tight-knit team at our feline only clinic. This is a highly varied role where you will support the team across all aspects of the practice and home visits.
Responsibilities
● Assisting with the handling and restraint of feline patients during clinic appointments, visits and procedures.
● Maintaining clinical cleanliness, setting up for procedures, sterilising equipment, preparing surgical kits, restocking the clinic, visit bags and the car.
● Providing exceptional care and comfort to hospitalised cats.
● Assisting on home visits, including driving the practice vehicle when required.
● Managing front-of-house duties, answering phones, replying to WhatsApp messages/emails and greeting clients, social media creation and posting.
Requirements
● Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a VCA in a veterinary practice.
● Licence: A full, clean UK driving licence is essential (required for home visits).
● Feline Focus: A deep love for cats and a gentle, patient approach to feline handling.
● Skills: Excellent communication skills, a professional phone manner, and strong team-working skills.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
