Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bar and Buffet Chef to join our dynamic hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and presenting a variety of dishes in our bar and buffet settings, ensuring high standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a diverse range of dishes for the bar and buffet areas, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Ensure all food safety regulations are strictly followed, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in all food preparation areas.
- Assist in the organisation and replenishment of buffet stations, ensuring a consistent supply of fresh food items.
- Serve food to guests with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, including washing utensils, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy periods, managing time effectively to meet service demands.
- Monitor stock levels and communicate needs for ingredients or supplies to management promptly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential.
- Strong understanding of hospitality principles, including serving techniques and guest relations.
- Basic maths skills for handling orders, measurements, and portion control.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during service hours.
- Ability to work well within a team and maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
