Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MSK Physiotherapist to join our expanding Physiotherapy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy demonstrating post graduate education in this Specialism as well as excellent communication skills. This role involves working closely with patients to assess their physical conditions, develop tailored treatment plans, and support their recovery journey. Experience also in Sports Massage, Sports Injuries, Acupuncture, Injection Therapy, Pilates 1:1 and/or Women's health would be desirable.
Responsibilities
Assess clients:
Perform thorough assessments to determine the nature and extent of musculoskeletal problems including taking comprehensive history, performing objective testing, analysing findings to diagnose.
Develop and implement treatment plans:
Create individualized treatment plans based on assessments, incorporating a range of techniques like manual therapy, acupuncture, education and bespoke exercise prescription.
Provide client education:
Educate clients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote optimal outcomes. Use WIBBI to develop home programmes for patients.
Maintain client records:
Keep accurate and up-to-date records of client clinical assessments, treatments, and progress, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and Professional standards.
Collaborate with other professionals:
Communicate effectively with GPs, surgeons, occupational therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care.
Work independently:
Demonstrate autonomy in decision-making and treatment planning, while adhering to professional guidelines.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD):
Keep abreast of the latest advancements in physiotherapy research and practice. Attend and participate in postgraduate education and in house training
Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Physiotherapy: Completion of a recognized physiotherapy program is essential.
Membership with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP): Registration with the CSP is a requirement for practicing in the UK.
Member of the Health Professional Council (HCPC): Essential
Experience in a relevant setting: Previous MSK experience in private practice, NHS, or other healthcare settings is essential. Minimum 6 years post graduate
Strong clinical skills: Ability to perform thorough clinical assessments, develop effective treatment plans, and provide evidence-based care.
Excellent communication skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
Computer literacy: Proficiency in using electronic health records and other relevant software. Cliniko and Wibbi are used in clinic.
