About the role
As Executive Assistant to the CEO, you'll be the trusted partner who keeps our Chief Executive organised, prepared and focused on what matters most.
Working closely with the CEO, you'll coordinate priorities, manage competing demands and ensure meetings, projects and strategic activity run smoothly. You'll often be one step ahead, anticipating what's needed, following up on actions and creating the structure that enables great decision-making.
This is far more than diary management. It's a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, takes pride in exceptional organisation and thrives on being the person who quietly keeps everything moving.
This is a part-time, home-based position, working Monday to Friday, 10.00am to 2.00pm (20 hours per week). The role is primarily home based, with requirement for occasional travel across our UK locations to support the CEO, attend meetings and contribute to key business activities.
What you will do

Manage the CEO's diary, appointments, meetings and travel arrangements, ensuring priorities are planned effectively.

Coordinate internal and external meetings, preparing agendas, papers, presentations and briefing materials.

Monitor emails, correspondence and actions, ensuring requests are prioritised and followed through.

Coordinate Board and governance meetings, preparing papers, recording minutes and tracking actions.

Support strategic projects by coordinating activity, monitoring progress and following up on agreed actions.

Act as a key point of contact for senior leaders, Board members, external partners and consultants.

Draft, proofread and quality assure reports, presentations, correspondence and organisational updates.

Coordinate the CEO's actions and deadlines, ensuring commitments are delivered on time.

Handle confidential and commercially sensitive information with the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

Keep accurate records and follow required processes

Communicate clearly with participants, colleagues and external partners

Minimum essential criteria
To be considered for this role, you will need to evidence in your CV that you meet the minimum essential criteria below:

Previous experience supporting a Chief Executive, Director, senior executive or leadership team in an Executive Assistant or similar role.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and competing demands.

Experience coordinating complex diaries, meetings and senior stakeholder engagement.

Strong written communication skills, with experience preparing professional correspondence, reports, presentations or Board papers.

Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality work with minimal supervision.

Experience coordinating actions, projects or business priorities across multiple teams.
-
High levels of discretion, integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information.

Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Microsoft Teams, Outlook and digital collaboration tools.

Ability to work independently, manage your own workload and use initiative to anticipate needs and solve problems.

Evidence of commitment, reliability and consistently delivering high standards of work.

Evidence of delivering outcomes, targets, tasks, projects or agreed objectives

Reliability, punctuality and a professional approach to work

Ability to explain your employment history clearly, including any gaps or short-term roles

Ability to work in a structured environment where quality, compliance and outcomes are monitored

Desirable criteria
It would be helpful if you have:

Experience supporting Boards or governance meetings, including preparing Board papers and taking minutes.

Experience coordinating strategic projects or organisational initiatives.

Experience working within the charity, education, employability, health or public services sectors.
