Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Counter Staff member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and supporting daily operations at our counter. Previous experience in delivery driving, warehouse work, or commercial driving is advantageous but not essential. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their enquiries in a professional manner
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Handle deliveries efficiently, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods
- Assist with stock organisation and inventory management within the warehouse or storage area
- Support with heavy lifting tasks when required, maintaining safety standards at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation at the counter area to uphold a welcoming environment
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly
Requirements
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is desirable
- Valid driver’s licence, preferably with experience as a <PERSON> driver or similar role
- Warehouse experience is beneficial, especially involving heavy lifting tasks
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items safely
- Organised, reliable, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive attitude with good organisational skills and attention to detail
