Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Restaurant Receptionist to join our team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and supporting the smooth operation of the restaurant. Previous experience in hospitality or guest services is preferred, along with excellent communication skills and phone etiquette. Duties
- Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations efficiently using our booking system
- Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, handling enquiries and booking requests
- Be aware about menu options, specials, and restaurant services
- Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain a tidy reception area and ensure all materials are up-to-date
- Support other administrative tasks as required to facilitate smooth restaurant operations
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is a must have
- Knowledge of guest services and hospitality standards
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Experience with restaurant reservation systems such as OpenTable or Seven Rooms is necessary
- Familiarity with serving procedures and maintaining high standards of customer service
- Good phone etiquette and organisational skills are essential for success in this role
- Experience in handling enquiries for events is highly desirable
Pay: £14.50-£16.00 per hour
