PitStop are looking for a highly organised and ambitious Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to join our team in South Yorkshire.
PitStop are an independently owned provider of audio services to the video games industry, working with clients across the world on a range of titles from indie to AAA, including studios such as Sony, Microsoft, Larian, and Gearbox Sotware.
In this role you will be supporting a passionate team of creatives based in South Yorkshire and London, across the Voiceover, Sound Design, Music, VFX, and Animation departments. We offer a collaborative environment where innovation and creative ideas are welcomed, and where individuals are trusted to take ownership and make a visible impact. This role provides strong exposure to the wider business, with opportunities for quick learning, career progression, and development into client-facing responsibilities over time. You will work closely with like-minded colleagues who are passionate about both creativity and the commercial success of the business.
This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, creating engaging marketing content, and learning how partnerships are developed within the games industry. Working closely with Leadership and the wider Business Development team, you'll support client outreach, conference planning, marketing coordination, and maintaining the materials and processes that help us showcase ourselves to prospective partners.
Unlike a traditional marketing role, this position sits within our Business Development team and focuses on creating opportunities, strengthening industry relationships, and ensuring our marketing activity supports meaningful conversations. You'll gain exposure to the business side of the games industry while developing a deep understanding of our services, clients, and positioning.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about the games industry and interested in developing a long-term career in Business Development. While experience within the games industry would be advantageous, we would also welcome applicants from other creative industries, with a background in marketing or other relationship-driven roles.
For the right person, this role offers a clear progression pathway into a client-facing Business Development position, including opportunities to attend international industry events, represent the company, and take on increasing responsibility as your experience grows.
Responsibilities:
Business Development Support:
- Handling inbound website enquiries and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Identifying opportunities for appropriate members of the team to connect or reconnect with contacts through relevant updates, ensuring the right people are in the right conversations at the right time.
- Recognising opportunities through LinkedIn, conference meeting platforms, and industry research.
- Helping to build and maintain relationships with multiple stakeholders at prospective clients, reducing reliance on single points of contact.
- Drafting outreach emails and messages and keeping in touch with contacts to maintain a professional relationship.
- Maintaining our CRM platform, along with identifying any needs or trends and delivering clear reports and updates to management.
- Coordinating conference attendance, prospects and completing outreach ahead of events including booking meetings.
- Facilitating client visits to the South Yorkshire studio, supporting the senior team leading visits.
Marketing Coordination:
- Centralising and maintaining ownership of marketing and pitch materials, to help us showcase what we’re capable of.
- Identifying and relaying information on opportunities for members of our team to do talks at industry events.
- With our help, you’ll develop a full and in-depth understanding of what we do, so that our marketing materials reflect the quality of our work in an easily digestible way.
- Copywriting for our marketing materials such as pitch decks, newsletters, blogs, and social media.
- Keeping our website and social media platforms up to date.
- Providing Production Coordination support for the content planning, recording, and delivery of marketing videos.
Additional Considerations:
- This is an in-office role (Barnsley), but there is a natural progression and opportunity to develop into a client-facing Business Development role, which will include international event attendance.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (or equivalent software).
Desirable:
- Video editing skills or experience creating video content.
