Night Receptionist – The Icon Hotel, Luton
£13.50 per hour | Permanent Position
The Icon Hotel is a modern, room-only hotel located in Luton, and we are looking for a reliable, professional and customer-focused Night Receptionist to join our team. Shift Pattern
Week 1: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (6:00pm – 6:00am)
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday (6:00pm – 6:00am)
This rolling two-week rota offers consistency and a great work-life balance.
About the Role
As our Night Receptionist, you will be the face of the hotel during the evening and overnight hours. You will be responsible for ensuring guests receive a warm welcome and excellent customer service throughout their stay.Key duties include:
- Checking guests in and out of the hotel
- Managing reservations and operating our hotel booking system
- Handling guest enquiries and requests professionally
- Monitoring the hotel throughout the night
- Processing payments and maintaining accurate records
- Ensuring the reception area remains clean and presentable
- Providing a safe and secure environment for guests
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will:
- Have excellent customer service and communication skills
- Be confident working independently and making decisions when required
- Be reliable, trustworthy and professional
- Have basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems
- Remain calm and professional under pressure
- Previous hotel reception or customer service experience is preferred, although full training will be provided for the right candidate

Additional Information
- The successful applicant will be subject to a three-month probationary period
- Satisfactory references will be required prior to employment
