We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience with both hand and power tools. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
- Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep the workshop clean and organised to promote a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with colleagues and clients.
- Excellent time keeping skills.
- A valid driving licence may be required depending on the specific role.
