Overview
We are seeking a Shop Assistant to join our team here at Mamacita's. We are a small high street shop selling Cuban Sandwiches and Latin American food. We are searching for a flexible candidate that has an interest in working in a fast paced hospitality environment. We try to maintain a very friendly and welcoming environment for all who step foot inside and so we seek someone who is friendly, charismatic and driven. We are searching for someone who is comfortable with a mixture of Front of house and back of house duties.
Duties
- Make food orders according to our specifications and help prepare ingredients
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the shop. This may include doing dishes, cleaning surfaces, floors and general tidying and organising of all areas.
- Make drinks for guests, including coffees, specialist coffees and soft drinks.
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their food order
- Help wrap sandwiches, pack orders and deliver to customers effectively.
- Upsell products where appropriate.
Experience/desirable qualities.
- Previous hospitality or customer service experience is required.
- Experience in a kitchen environment
- Friendly and outgoing nature
- Knowledge of Latin American food is desirable but not essential.
- Ability to speak Spanish is also desirable but not essential.
- Ability to work well within a team and independently when required.
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
