Stone Fired is an artisan Neapolitan pizza and pasta business based in East Lothian. We operate as a quality-driven takeaway, serving freshly prepared stone fired pizzas and pasta dishes to our local community. Our focus is straightforward: exceptional ingredients, consistent standards, and outstanding customer service.
We are seeking an experienced Pizza/Pasta Chef with a genuine passion for producing high-quality Neapolitan-style pizzas and flavour-led pasta dishes. This role places particular emphasis on delivering consistently excellent, flavour-packed pasta dishes alongside expertly crafted stone-fired pizzas in a fast-paced takeaway environment.
The Role
You will:
- Prepare and cook high-quality pasta dishes with well-balanced, flavourful sauces
- Ensure consistency in pasta preparation, cooking times, and presentation
- Prepare and cook Neapolitan-style pizzas to a high and consistent standard
- Manage dough handling, fermentation, and stone fired cooking processes
- Ensure all takeaway orders are accurately prepared, packaged, and timed correctly
- Maintain excellent standards of food quality, hygiene, and organisation
- Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen and FoH team
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has strong experience preparing and cooking pasta dishes in a busy kitchen
- Understands sauce development, flavour balance, and consistency
- Has experience with Neapolitan pizza, including dough management and oven work
- Thrives in a fast-paced takeaway setting
- Communicates well and works effectively as part of a team
- Is reliable, hardworking, and takes genuine pride in their craft
