What do Oaks do?
We are one of West Yorkshires best established joinery and exhibition stand manufacturers. We work across Europe installing exhibition stands on behalf of some major international companies, and some smaller local Huddersfield firms. We also manufacture POS, do shop installtions, office fitouts, design and manufacture garden studios, and other outdoor buildings.
What is the role?
As part of a skilled team, your role would be to manufacture, install and remove joinery based products. The role is partially bench-based, and partially site based. There will be elements of the role that you may not be familiar with, but full on-the-job training will be given, and we have enough experience in-house to bring you up to speed. The gallery on our website will give you a good indication of what we do. Experience of Graphics, Laminating and basic electrics would help but is not essential. Wages paid will depend on level of skill and is negotiable as your skills improve.
Required attributes:
- Full driving licence
- Ability to drive a luton van
- Trained to use table saws and other standard joinery machinery
- Flexibility to travel abroad
- Flexibility to work away from home
- Flexibility to work weekends and evenings where needed (We avoid weekends wherever possible)
Ideal person:
Skilled, time-served joiner, used to working from a drawing, happy setting out own project, manufacturing it, ensured its correctly and systematically loaded, and then taking the lead on installing it on site.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent. We can also offer long-term short term, long terms and ongoing subcontract roles if this is beneficial.
Salary is negotiable based on experience but likely to be £18 - £22 per hour
