Role: EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3 Qualified)
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Spalding is seeking a Level 3 qualified EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from September 2026. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood development and confident supporting children through play‑based learning.
You will work closely with the class teacher and EYFS team to create a warm, stimulating and well‑structured environment where children feel safe, supported and excited to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting early learning through play‑based and structured EYFS activities
- Delivering small‑group sessions focused on communication, phonics, early maths and social skills
- Assisting with personal care routines including toileting, hygiene and snack times
- Creating engaging learning environments indoors and outdoors
- Observing and recording progress in line with EYFS frameworks
Requirements
- Level 3 Early Years / Childcare qualification (essential)
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or school setting
- A warm, patient and child‑centred approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
- Two recent references and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
