About the Hire Controller role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a driven and organised individual to join a successful and thriving business as a Hire Controller. This position sits at the heart of the business, supporting customers and internal teams to ensure seamless hire operations from enquiry through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities for the Hire Controller
- Serve as the main contact for customer enquiries via phone and email, delivering prompt and professional support
- Prepare, issue, and actively follow up on quotations to maximise conversion opportunities
- Liaise with customers to agree commercial terms and secure hire bookings
- Process orders, confirm availability of equipment, and ensure accurate documentation is completed
- Coordinate logistics and collaborate with internal teams to guarantee timely and efficient delivery of equipment
Requirements of the Hire Controller
- Previous experience in a hire controller role
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities with a commercial mindset
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage priorities
- Driving licence and access to a vehicle
