HGV Technician – Day Shift (Liverpool)
Pay: £21.80 per hour + Technician Grade Bonus
Hours: 4 on / 4 off day shift, 06:00 – 18:00
Contract: Permanent
Earning Potential (OTE)
- Hourly Rate: £21.80 per hour
- Basic Salary: £45,780 per year (based on 175 hours per month average)
- OTE: £51,469+ per year (including Technician Grade Bonus)
- Annual Leave: 240 hours including bank holidays
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance and repair activities on commercial vehicles and trailers of all types
- Diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles, and effect permanent and complete repairs
- Complete paperwork and procedures relating to warranty, contract, and retail work
- Carry out preventative maintenance to minimise unnecessary customer costs
- Any other duties reasonably within your capabilities as instructed by your manager
What You'll Need (either option)
- Option 1: Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (NVQ/City & Guilds) – IRTEC not required
- Option 2: Level 2 qualification with current IRTEC accreditation
- Minimum 2 years main dealer experience (HGV/Bus/Coach)
- Experience in diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial vehicles
- Full UK driving licence
