We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes, maintaining kitchen standards, and supporting the head chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to specified recipes and standards
- Assist in the organisation and management of kitchen stations during service
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly adhered to at all times
- Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Support the training of junior staff and interns as required
- Contribute to menu development and presentation to enhance guest satisfaction
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and meal presentation within a restaurant environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous kitchen experience, ideally in a similar role such as demi chef or commis chef
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Passion for culinary arts with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance
- Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are preferred but not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
