Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscaper to join our team at The Junction Shopping Complex. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are aesthetically pleasing, functional, and well-kept. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of landscaping projects, utilising a range of tools and machinery. A background in horticulture, gardening, or construction is highly desirable but not necessarily required. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with a passion for outdoor work and environmental maintenance.
Days / Hours
2 of 7 days as dictated by Rota - 16 hours per week - £13.00 per hour
Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, pruning, planting, and fertilising to ensure healthy growth and visual appeal.
- Operate power tools such as hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and blowers safely and efficiently.
- Use hand tools like spades, rakes, hoes, and secateurs for planting, weeding, and general garden upkeep.
- Operate machinery such as ride on mowers safely and efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance on tools and machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in designing landscape layouts and implementing new features according to client specifications.
- Maintain health and safety standards across all tasks performed on-site.
Requirements
- Proven experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred.
- Ability to operate machinery such as ride on mowers safely and effectively.
- Familiarity with gardening techniques and plant care practices.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid relevant licences or certifications related to machinery operation are a plus but not essential.
