Facilities Engineer - Multi Skilled
Location: Near Halesowen, West Midlands (multi-site)
Salary: £36,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (weekends available, not mandatory)
The Role
Talented People are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Facilities Engineer. The role covers multiple sites and focuses on mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and continuous site support.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver facilities maintenance across multiple sites.
- Diagnose and repair faults using drawings and schematics.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Maintain dock levellers, industrial doors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Support safe working practices and site compliance.
- Assist and mentor apprentices when required.
- Liaise with internal teams and external contractors.
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately.
- Support occasional out-of-hours work as required.
Skills & Experience Required
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mechanical or facilities maintenance.
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Able to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
- Confident communicator and effective team player.
- Good IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
Desirable Experience & Qualifications
- Experience working with hydraulic or dock levelling systems.
- Welding or fabrication experience advantageous.
- NVQ Level 3 / ONC / BTEC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- IPAF, PASMA or FLT licences (or willing to train).
- 17th Edition Wiring Regulations beneficial.
Additional Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Flexible approach and strong work ethic.
