Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily administrative operations within our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills, and a solid background in office administration. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth functioning of our office environment, supporting staff, and maintaining efficient workflows. Experience with financial management tools such as sage, alongside human resources and supervisory responsibilities, will be highly advantageous. The successful applicant will play a key role in fostering a professional and productive workplace.
Duties
- Manage daily office operations, including scheduling, correspondence, and administrative support
- Supervise administrative staff and coordinate team activities to ensure efficiency
- Oversee human resources functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and employee records management
- Utilise Sage for invoicing, payroll processing, and financial record keeping
- Maintain organised filing systems both physically and digitally
- Handle phone enquiries with professional etiquette and provide excellent customer service
- Coordinate meetings, appointments, and office events to optimise organisational productivity
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all departments
- Support the development of office policies to improve workflow and staff satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in office management or administrative roles with supervisory responsibilities
- Strong proficiency in online accounting software and general accounting practices.
- Demonstrated team management skills with the ability to motivate staff effectively
- Extensive clerical and organisational experience within an office environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
- Previous experience supervising teams or managing multiple projects simultaneously is preferred
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities whilst maintaining attention to detail
