Northgate is a vibrant, multi-cultural primary school situated very close to Crawley town centre. We are a large primary school with 660 children on roll currently including a Specialist Support Centre (SSC) for children who are deaf, and a further 40-place maintained Nursery.

We are seeking to appoint a Pupil Support Assistant who can work alongside our class teachers to offer support for our children to help meet their specific learning needs. Applicants will need to be competent in English and mathematics and will need to share our commitment to ensuring that every child achieves their full potential. An interest and/or experience in supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Condition or children with trauma and attachment difficulties would be a significant advantage. Part of the role will include 1:1 work with children who have complex special educational needs.
Working hours are term time only; the role also includes lunchtime supervision responsibilities. All PSAs are paid 15 minutes extra each week to incorporate an hour’s CPD/ training after school each month.
