Overview
As a Machine Minder, you’ll be responsible for overseeing the smooth running of machinery in our poultry processing plant. You’ll play a key role in keeping production efficient, safe, and on schedule, ensuring our high standards of quality are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- * Carry out machine set up and prestart checks. Ensure machine is safe to operate.
- * Carry out label reel changes.
- * Label print and verification checks, final product quality inspection.
- * Monitor and operate processing machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- * Carry out routine checks, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment.
- * Ensure machine is operating at maximum efficiency.
- * Quickly respond to machine faults and carry out basic adjustments or repairs.
- * Work closely with production supervisors to meet daily targets.
- * Maintain accurate records of machine performance and maintenance.
- * Follow all good manufacturing practices, health, safety, and hygiene procedures in line with company policies.
- * Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Essential:
- *Good mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- *Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- *Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- *Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player.
- *Comfortable working in a chilled food processing environment.
- *Willingness to follow strict health, safety, and hygiene guidelines.
Desirable:
- *A good standard of both spoken and written English and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- *Previous experience in a food production or factory environment.
- *Experience operating or maintaining machinery.
- *Own transport (due to rural location).
- *Level 2 Food Hygiene / Safety certification.

Location & Hours
Based in Norfolk; own transport highly recommended due to rural location
Full-time Monday to Friday 16:15 – 02:15 (47.5 Hours per week) Flexibility required for shift work, including early mornings or evenings
